To determine if you have a slow leak.

Read your water meter and record the numbers in the boxes we ve provided. If there is no leak detector and the meter dial hand is spinning then you have a leak. If the hand moves then you have a slow leak. If it is moving you have a continuous leak. But you can always have the water meter tested by the utility company or a plumber to make sure of its accuracy. If you walk out to your water meter and notice the area around it is wet and soggy or you see standing water and puddles then you have a leak with the water from the main line coming into your home.
