What Is The Standard Height Of A Toilet Waste Pipe
I am fitting a bathroom where the floor height is a little lower than usual.
What is the standard height of a toilet waste pipe. If a soil pipe is set lower at say 170mm but the pan spigot is at 200mm there are offset connectors available to take up that much difference. So i thought about getting one of those toilet. Its a new build so im yet to connect the outside waste pipe to the sewer. In the middle of replacing low level toilet there for about 30 years with close coupled loo.
E plumber ny the toilet waste pipe is supposed to be a couple few inches above the floor when the rough plumbing is installed then it s cut down to size when the closet flange is installed unless of course the exact finished floor height is known and it will not change. Toilet waste pipe height above finished floor. I bought a toilet from wickes for 50 and it seems the waste is too low and would come out of the building only a couple of cms above ground level. The wider the pipe the more waste it can move and the less likely it will be to clog.
Third you can take off the flange as well as the toilet and trim down the waste pipe that comes up through your bathroom floor. The drain pipe connects to the flange which mounts the toilet itself and this flange is usually built to connect to 3 inch schedule 40 toilet drain pipe. Replacing or adjusting the height of your flange. Your last option is to simply replace the flange.
These heights are compatible with most common vanity sinks. This opening of this pipe should be level and flush with the floor. Waste drain pipes for toilets in modern plumbing systems are either 3 inches or 4 inches in diameter. In most homes pvc drain pipe is used instead of metal pipe.
You ll need some sort of a saw to do this. The pan outlet is about 350mm distance to the soil stack on a 90 degree bend to the left just discovered that the original new toilet i chose the pan outlet is lower than the soil outlet. It s probably best to say check the height of the spigot of the pan you intend to fit as different products do vary even if they are from the same manufacturer. Water supply lines are usually just a couple of inches higher between 20 and 22 inches from the floor and installed one to each side of the drain line.
